    YES. It can definately help you lose weight. The first day I got DDR I couldn’t keep myself off it. Just by doing the songs in LIGHT mode I started sweating. The next day I was really sore all over my body. So I suggest stretching before and after any workout.

    DDR is really fun to do and it doesn’t even seem like you’re exercising. After 1 week of playing DDR for almost an hour a day I lost 3 pounds. SO if you’re looking for a fun alternative I suggest you get Dance Dance Revolution. I could never go to the gym and just run on a treadmill without looking at anything and it gets boring after awhile.

    Dance Dance Revolution also has harder modes you can do so as you get better you can do those and burn more calories.

    ** Anything that gets your heart pumping and you sweating is good exercise to help you lose weight. Also, it is good if you eat a healthy balanced diet along with exercise. Give yourself atleast 1-2 days rest during the week, and if you’re playing DDR, stick to 1 hour a day. Strength training will be good too.
